Miss Garry
Me in 4th grade!
Hello, my name is Miss Garry. This is my eleventh year teaching fourth grade at Perry Elementary School. Every year at Perry is full of great memories and wonderful students. I am so lucky to work with such a dedicated fourth grade team, a supportive principal, and other wonderful staff members at Perry.
I grew up in Perry and attended Perry Schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade. After graduating from Perry High School in 2004, I attended Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. There, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and became a certified teacher in Pennsylvania grades K-6th. Since my roots are in Ohio, I moved back to Perry in 2008 and received my Ohio Teaching Certificate for grades PreK-5th. By 2012, I completed my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and earned my Reading Endorsement at Kent State University. Everyday is a learning experience and I emphasize that to my students throughout the year.
I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my toy poodle, Mocha. You will probably hear many stories about Mocha throughout the year. My favorite things to do in my spare time include reading, watching movies, walking, putting together puzzles, and catching up with friends.
My classroom is a bully-free zone where a Peaceful Environment for Everyone at Perry (PEEPs) is encouraged. Participation, honesty, and 100% effort is required in class each day. With collaboration and hardwork, we can achieve success!
